PS5 vs Switch 2 vs PC

Updated 2026-10-16. Checked 2026-10-16.

All three cost $49.99 for Standard in the US listings. PS5 is the living-room version with DualSense called out on Steam’s feature list as well. PC is 15 GB and asks for a GTX 1650-class card. Switch 2 is 12.7 GB and portable, with the save caveat on the upgrade page.

I would buy PS5 for a couch and a controller, PC if I already have the spec, and Switch 2 only if handheld play is the point. Steam Deck verification is not an official badge I could confirm.

Decide on one constraint

If your constraint is a phone, there is no build. If your constraint is a PS4, there is no build. Those are the two wrong answers this comparison keeps getting.
